Engin Çağlar (28 August 1940 – 1 November 2025), was a Turkish film actor. His mother was born in Skopje. His father came from a family that had migrated to Istanbul from a small town on the coast of the Sea of Azov. His father owned a factory that manufactured industrial materials. He attended Robert College for secondary school. In 1958, he played football for a short time at Galatasaray. He studied at university in Germany. He was conscripted into the military in 1965. While serving as a sailor for two years, he was even stationed in Cyprus. After his discharge, he entered a competition run by Ses magazine and came second after Uğur Güçlü.
