Georgia Vasileiadou (Greek: Γεωργία Βασιλειάδου; 1897 – 12 February 1980) was a Greek actress. She appeared in more than forty films from 1930 to 1977. She was born in Athens in the Kypseli area in 1897 into a family of ten children. Her real name was Georgia Athanasiou, but she changed it to Vasiliadou when she decided to pursue singing and acting. She was forced to leave school early to work in a shop and help support her large family, after the sudden death of her father, who was a cavalry officer, after falling from a horse. She made her first artistic appearance in 1923 as a member of the Olympia Theater chorus, in Giuseppe Verdi's Ernani, rather coincidentally when she began her studies at the Gennadius School in 1923 and then appeared in various operas.
