Atsuko Ichinomiya was a Japanese actress. Her birth name was Atsuko Yoshida. She was born in Kanda, Tokyo (now Chiyoda Ward), Japan. She grew up in a family involved in the confectionery business. She attended Sei-no Elementary School and then Three-Wheeler High School (currently known as Miwatari Gakuen High School). During her school days, she participated in track and field and showed athletic talent. In 1932, Atsuko entered the film industry, initially appearing as a voice-over runner in films by the Funi Film Company.
