Dee is a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana. An "almost Christmas" baby, born December 28. After graduating high school she moved to Nashville, Tennessee and graduated from Tennessee State University and Meharry Medical College, where she majored in Dental Hygiene. After working in the field over ten years she decided to explore a career in the entertainment industry as a Makeup Artist. Dee enrolled at The American Institute of Modeling, in Nashville. Her training there in fashion, modeling and makeup, increased her interest in the industry. She gained valuable experience and exposure working as an extra on the set of the Warner Brothers production of "Roots - The Gift". In 1994 she began working with Iman Cosmetics.
